Grant "Gary" Jacobsen

Former Marine Officer, Corporate Executive, College Instructor


BS University of Illinois; MBA California State Polytechnic University; advanced graduate work, USC; member, American Association of University Professors.
 
Served as Marine Corps officer in South Vietnam.  After 20+ years of service, retired in September, 1985, while serving in the grade of colonel with the Joint Staff at the Pentagon.  During his career, he was awarded the Bronze Star with "V", the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
 
Became the CEO of Pentagon Express, Inc., in the fall of 1985 and continued in that capacity until retiring in 1997.
 
He also taught at various colleges, including: U S Naval Academy (guest lecturer) Northern Virginia Community College (adjunct professor) and Los Angeles City College (adjunct professor).  Retired from teaching at the college level in the spring of 2006.
 
Grant "Gary" Jacobsen is a graduate of Dundee Community
High School in Carpentersville, Illinois.
He has lived in the Washington, D. C. area since 1974.

He is married to the former Olga Ben of Detroit, Michigan. Currently they both live in Woodbridge, Virginia.
